Mess when dog drinks water?

Is there any tricks or tips to keeping your floor dry around the water dish?

I swear one of my dogs gets about half the water he drinks in his mouth and the other half gets on the floor! We put a rug underneath, but I have to wash it like once a week because it gets all moldy smelling. Yuk!

Hmm… well it sounds like the Mat is the only option other than a water bottle. I wonder if they’ed even drink out of it? We have 2 big dogs, mutts (like think lab size or bigger.) So we also keep a bucket outside with water. Maybe have a bottle inside a bucket outside?

I have a great dane and am getting a small dog (12 pounds). He is very considerate of other dogs when socializing. But- just in case I would like to ask anyone who has a big dog and small dog how they got there big dog to be considerate (not step on, not bite, and to be easy playing) of the small dog. I would like to know about how people taught their big dogs that. Also I would like to ask how to introduce a big dog to a small dog. We are getting our small dog second, since we already have a big dog. Does that make a difference? Thank you.

I pick up after them. The walk is from 1-1:30 every day during the summer. I also bring portable bowls for the dogs to share if they get thirsty i fill them up with water. Its only around my neighborhood for a half hour, though. Its only for my neighboorhood dogs. How much should I charge for small dogs and big dogs?
