But the American public has a large appetite for pets, and most people who want one usually don’t care whether it comes from a foreign country or from the United States.

Because of this attitude, some people are beginning to argue that it would to allow some puppy mills to stay in business, but at the same time, regulate how they operate more intensely.

Because there are no regulations limiting how many pets a person can own, the average citizen will come continue buying pets whether they need to get them to legally or illegally.

It is always a popular thing for elected officials to shut down puppy mills, but none of them would dare try to pass regulation limiting families to owing just one dog.
